What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Raichozawa Campsite is praised for its spectacular mountain views and peaceful alpine setting, offering a unique camping experience. However, some visitors find the recent price increase unjustified given the lack of amenities like picnic tables or BBQ areas, and the challenging descent to the site can be a deterrent.
"I was there for solo camping ⛺️ on October 10-11,2024. That night, the temperature dropped to 1 celcius degree. But this actually the best camping site, the view of mount Tateyama is beyond spectacular.
I brought my own tent and paid 1000¥ for one night camping. The toilet was clean, the lady at the receptionist was very warm, and helpful.
Don’t forget to buy food and drinks from Murodo Terminal before you come down to this camping site, cuz there’s no store nearby."

"Picturesque campsite !!! JPY1,000 per person per night, with toilet and water. Onsen/shower/f&b shop 15min away. Great location for Tateyama 立山 and red leaves season too."

"I think the campsite and the mountains around are amazing. Actually Id like to give a 5 star but I have some issues. They doubled the price to 1000¥ now and there are no improvements to the campsite. I do winter camping and there is no transport service that Id gladly pay for. There are no picnic tables or a bbq area. Even coal isn’t allowed which is ridiculous. Someone wrote that the water isn’t drinkable, its actually very clean and nice water. Waking up and seeing the beautiful mountains is incredible."
