"Hilltop shrine with a sacred rock. This very old shrine was established in the early Heian Period (794 to 1185) by priest Jikaku Daishi. It is the home of 42 gods and goddesses. You can drive to the top of the shrine where a free parking lot is located and a short walk to the shrine OR you can enjoy a leisurely long hike up using the stairs. The stairs are lined with hydrangeas which were not in bloom yet as of May 27th. The shrine is popular in the region with local people who come to pray for the health of their family members."

"The shrine is aesthetically beautiful and the mountain view is great. On the foot step of the mountain, you'll see a different shops sellings mochi and candies, others may find some shop selling kitsune or tengu mask. Their is also a view deck seeing the white top of Mt. Fuji; when the weather is clear and and not cloudy, you can also see some elderly folks doind some walks and they're great to talk with."
