Reviews Summary

Shimo-Yamaguchi Station is primarily recognized as a convenient transit point for the Belluna Dome and Seibuen Amusement Park. While its facilities have improved, including updated restrooms, train frequency can be low outside of event days. Travelers appreciate its direct access to major venues but note the limited amenities and services at the station itself.

"It is an intermediate station on the Sayama Line, but the toilets used to be just two prefabricated ones that were shared and were unusable, later there were two rows of morning glory-shaped urinals, even though they were shared, and then in the latter half of the Heisei era they were finally made separate for men and women.
Also, only local trains used to stop here, and express trains for baseball games did not stop here either up or down, but now all trains except for paid express trains stop here, including express trains, so it must have become a means of transportation for everyone."

"This station is an intermediate station on the Seibu Railway Sayama Line that opened in 1929 and was suspended during wartime as it was an unnecessary and non-urgent line, before reopening after a long hiatus and remaining open to the present day. When it first opened, it had a single track and platform with only one platform on the north side of the tracks, but from 1979, professional baseball games were held here and in order to facilitate the transportation of spectators, it became the current above-ground station with one island platform, two tracks, and train interchange possible. There is a large residential area around the station, and if you walk hard you can reach Seibuen Amusement Park on the Yamaguchi Line in about 20 minutes on foot."
