Reviews Summary

Korankei Gorge is overwhelmingly praised for its spectacular autumn foliage, with visitors captivated by the vibrant maple leaves and the magical evening illuminations. The Taigetsukyo Bridge and riverside walks are highlighted as particularly beautiful. However, the immense popularity during the autumn festival leads to significant crowds, traffic congestion, and long waits for public transport, which are frequently cited as drawbacks.

"I went on a weekday. It was mid of the November. It was crowded. It was super scenic and great view. But anyway although it is crowded you can enjoy the view. Many street food stalls you can taste the food for affordable prices. There were enough car parkings with 500¥ and 1000¥. You can worship several shrines there. The one in the top of the mountain is really beautiful. You can buy Omiyage and Chinese foods. Some Chinese stalls with hand woven kitchen items and handmade Japanese items. Super day to enjoy the Autumn at Korankei."

"The photo was taken on 20 Nov 2025 when it was at its peak autumn color. Lucky to have clear sky on that day. We took a train to Toyotashi then change to bus 61. Quite smooth as we went on weekday and early morning. The festive food stalls were up as early as 10am. The compound is not very big but worth to spend at least 2 hrs there. You can see the autumn leaves all around the Gorge."

"If you’re heading to the World Heritage village, you’ll pass by this spot. It’s definitely worth a stop to soak in the atmosphere - the scenery around is simply beautiful. I can only imagine how stunning it must be during the autumn foliage. I came at the end of October, so I might’ve just missed it. 🍂"
