"This little city is one of the UNESCO world’s heritage sites here in Japan. It’s a stone’s throw away from Kyoto via a short train ride. Very beautiful parks and surroundings. Very clean and peaceful. It has a few shrines like the Ukikami Jinja Shrine which is lovely to visit. The famous Uji bridge is a good photo opportunity site too. Another wonderful thing to do here is to watch the ancient tradition of Cormorant Fishing. The fishermen put on fishing shows , but you need to book tickets and schedule in their tourist office. Uji is very famous too for Matcha tea so it’s a must try!"
