Reviews Summary

Porto Europa is a delightful surprise, offering a charming European ambiance with free entry. Visitors praise its photogenic streets and the adjacent Kuroshio Market's fresh seafood and tuna shows. While the rides are an added cost, the overall experience is considered a pleasant and unique outing.

"Firstly, don’t be fooled by google map. The google map asked me to get off the bus 2stops before and expect me to walk for a distance. Lucky the bus driver double checked on where I wanted to go since he also find it strange. Haha. It seems that google map is also not that accurate in wakayama area. Actually you can take bus from wakayama station like bus 121. From the first to the last stop. It cost 520 yen. But the google map, recommended the train and then bus, with no bus options. But using this route, it will save you a few yen and at the same time explored the unexpected temple along the way.

Anyway, please take the bus all the way to the end. The place as it’s called, porto Europe, with concept of European buildings. Is actually a theme park for kids and families and adults that wanted so fun. admission is free, you are free to walk around to take pictures. Cozy place for a weekend breaks.

Besides it that is the famous fish market and the small farmer’s market. As well as near the coastline. So for a lazy weekend just want to go nothing but to relax and chill, not a too bad place."

"Porto Europa at Wakayama Marina City is such a delightful surprise! 🏖️ The beautifully themed plaza transports you to a scenic European town—think cobblestone streets, fountains, and colorful facades—without needing a passport. Even if you’re not here for rides, strolling through the open areas around 4 PM still feels magical"
