Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Wakayama Prefectural Museum to be a pleasant and informative stop, particularly for its insights into the region's natural history and cultural development. While the lack of English explanations can be a hurdle, the visual exhibits and unique displays like the earthquake model are appreciated. The potential for free admission and the convenient location near Wakayama Castle make it an attractive option.
"The location is right after the Museum of Modern Art. It was a nice visit, very close to Wakayama Castle. I came on Sunday, and I don't know why but it's a free admission. I am not sure whether it's because of the day or whether there is a special occasion.
However, it will be hard if we don't speak Japanese, especially to explore the first floor. All information is written in Japanese. Nevertheless, it's still a pleasant visit. I hope the museum will add English explanation below the Japanese ones in the future 🧡
Also! There is a rest area where we can order coffee, tea, and chocolate! I am enjoying the view of Wakayama Castle from the rest area while having hot tea!"
