Hikers rave about the stunning 360-degree summit views from Mount Kuromi, often deeming the challenging climb well worth the effort. "Stunning hike!"
Asher Charman
"We stopped here on the way to Miyanouradake. We hadn't originally planned on climbing it, but someone we met at the fork in the road to Kuromi-dake recommended that we go, saying, "The views are amazing. You should definitely go." So we decided to go.
There are a few places where you have to climb up the rocks using ropes. When we reached the top, we were greeted by a truly spectacular view. 360 degrees. Miyanoura-dake, where we were heading, and Nagata-dake behind it. The horizon at eye level. There were monkeys relaxing on the rocks along the way.
Stopping here added an hour to our original plan, but it was well worth it."
Shigeru Sakamoto
"I was able to go on a sunny day during the rainy season.
When the weather is good, it's a truly amazing place, including the views of the surrounding area.
There are some places where you have to climb with a rope and some places with poor footing, so you need to be careful."
