We were refused an extension of the lease because we were told all the complexes were being demolished. However, upon vacating the UR apartment, only 20% of my security deposit was returned, citing maintenance costs for the apartment we rented. What kind of maintenance cost does an apartment that is scheduled for demolition? Only in Japan! Stay away from Japan and their UR housing!"
