What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Yoro Falls for its stunning natural beauty, especially the picturesque cascade and vibrant autumn foliage. The legend of the healing water adds a unique cultural charm. While the walk from the station is enjoyable, some find signage could be improved for international visitors and certain facilities a bit dated.
"Youro Park is a charming and scenic spot, perfect for a relaxing day out in nature. The lush greenery, flowing river, and well-maintained walking paths make it a great place for a stroll or a picnic. The famous "cormorant fishing" (ukai) viewing area is a unique highlight, offering a glimpse into a traditional fishing method.
However, the park could benefit from better signage in English for international visitors, and some facilities felt a bit dated. The nearby shops and restaurants add convenience, but more seating areas would be welcome.
Overall, Youro Park is a lovely destination, especially for those who enjoy peaceful natural settings with a touch of cultural heritage."

"We took Meitetsu Line to Yoro station to get to the falls. As soon as you leave the station, it is a steady uphill walk up to the falls.
The entire walk takes about 40 minutes I guess, depending on your briskness. It’s worth it though. There’s a cute little children’s amusement park on the way up and a little “food court” on the left which serves ice cream and other snacks.
The falls are quite tall and gorgeous. Great place to visit on a weekday when traffic is quite light."

"So beautiful, and near a spring with delicious clear water you can drink (a fountain of youth according to local tradition). Was an amazing short hike up and lovely to sit by the waterfall :)"
