Reviews Summary

Lambousa Ancient City is a historically significant site with unique Roman-era fish ponds and Bronze Age remnants. However, it suffers from significant neglect, with rough access roads and litter being common complaints. Visitors who appreciate raw, unmanicured history and are prepared for the challenging conditions find it interesting, while others find it disappointing due to its state of disrepair. Reddit+1

"Awesome place, but neglected. To get on the spot, actually area, you need to go through garbage dump. This place shows, in my opinion, what people can do when they are united around one idea, common one. Something Cyprus needs now (imho) to build a better future."

Lolek Lolkowski

"Bit of a neglected place. Really of the beaten path and the 'road' to get there is a challenge even for a 4x4.

There is a lot of trash, it's not maintenanced for a long time and more importantly it's not that big of a thing to see. Also there is a military base nearby.

Most exciting thing we saw were a big Lizard and a big white bird. So unless you are really into this kind of thing, i don't recommend going here and use your time different.

When in Cyprus follow me for more."

Rikkie C

"As already stated Bronze Age settlement, with horrid roads even for a 4x4, great place to snorkel just off the pool. Once again used as a dumping ground for rubbish. Tombs are overgrown with vegetation & there’s a military zone right next door, so between getting bitten by adders or shot at by soldiers I chose to stay away."
