The "Golden Man," a suit of armour worn by a Saka (Scythian) royal, 4th-3rd century BCE. Worn by a skeleton entombed in the Issyk kurgan (burial mound), Kazakhstan. Also within the kurgan were many other grave goods, including iron and bronze weapons, and more than 4000 gold items. [3240x4320]

"The museum was quite small. There was a nice map of Kazakhstan and a fun photo op as the Golden man. Unfortunately, the displays were not labeled in English. There were some nice displays. The original Golden Man suit is not here. It is in Astana. Toilets were outside. No paper."
