"This urban park opened in October 2011 to commemorate Kazakhstan's 20th anniversary of independence. The park's central entrance is ornamented with an arch, and there is a singing fountain and several floral displays throughout the grounds.
In the centre is a monument called Altyn Shanyraq, which represents the Kazakhstan people. It was made of 137 metal elements, each representing one of the 137 ethnicities who live in Kazakhstan. An iron pedestrian bridge connects the park to Ordabassy Square, symbolising the passage between the city's ancient past and its current history."
