What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Olkaria Geothermal Spa offers a unique and relaxing experience with its naturally heated pools and scenic surroundings, making it a popular spot for friends and families. While the spa itself is well-maintained and enjoyable, visitors should be aware of the separate entry fees for the park and the spa, and the possibility of unexpected closures.
"Can you imagine travelling for more than 3 hours, paying 1000 shillings at the gate in the name of park fees only to realise the spa is closed. All this and the staff is very nonchalant about it with no communication whatsoever. If you are going to randomly close the spa I feel that it should be communicated in the website or social media platforms ju sasa this is some BS! No need to waste someone's time and money!!!.CHECK ON THAT!!"

"The Olkaria Spa is an ideal getaway if you're looking to have fun with friends.
The spa is massive, really big, and I was actually shocked at the size; this also applies to the baby pool. The water is warm as you like it. Besides this, the attendants are super helpful.
Parking is also available and plenty. Though you have to part with Kshs 300/= for parking (varies with car size and capacity)
The views around the pool are scenic as they overlook a hill.
My 4-star rating here is because they don't indicate how the charges work; we paid 300 at the park's entrance and we thought the cost covered entrance to the spa. However, we had to pay another 400 to access the spa. Again, while the changing rooms are overly clean and spacious, the lockers aren't functional.
Nonetheless, I highly recommend visiting this Spa. Mainly because the water has a natural healing effect that leaves your body feeling good and smooth."

"I would give it five stars but I'll keep it at four stars for one reason: the park entrance fee doesn't cater for the entrance to the geothermal spa. This you have to pay for separately. It would be good if they would clarify this at the park entrance. So when you get there, brace yourself to pay double to enter the park and the spa.
That said, this place is actually pretty good. There's a kiddy spa pool and a massive pool for the grown ups. And yes, it is as hot as they say it is. Not scalding hot, but hot enough for you to stay in the water.
The entire pool is shallow, you don't need to be a swimmer to get in. The floor of the pool is concrete and not tiled, the geothermal water is somewhat slippery, tiles wouldn't work.
The place is very well maintained with tents and gazebos for those seeking shade. There's plenty to eat and drink and the service is pretty good.
Both the ladies and gents changing rooms are clean and spacious. The showers have cold water
Excellent experience for families and friends"
