What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Jahra Pools Reserve is praised as an unexpected, underrated oasis offering peace and a unique natural escape. Visitors highlight the serene atmosphere, abundant birdlife (especially flamingos), and the dedication of the EPA staff. While reservations can be tricky on weekends, the affordable entry and tranquil environment make it a worthwhile visit for nature lovers.
"The most UNEXPECTED place in this land. This is literally the Most Underrated and the best place for anyone! You are literally transported to another world on entering this beautiful oasis. Kudos to EPA for maintaining such a place! You can expect many species of birds in the marshland, but since the soil is too loose, you cannot physically go there. The atmosphere is peaceful. If you ever want to step out of the modern life and enjoy peace and nature, just hop in here. It's worth IT!
We were at Tower 1, and there, we can bring coffee and snacks as per the EPA official, nothing more than that. Bird watching is serene. One suggestion to EPA I would give, is to allocate a binocular on the watchtower of the marshland, as you can clearly watch the flamingos then. It's very difficult to watch from such a far distance. Rest all is just 👌"

"Great little get away from the city life into nature. They have three sighting stations and it’s easy to see the flamingos when you are there at the right time of year."

"Great place for a short family outing during weekends and for bird watching & photography. Place maintained by very dedicated and friendly staff of Kuwait Environment Public Authority. One and half hour time if reserved, half an hour for walk in. Getting reservations during weekends difficult. Movement inside only by EPA’s golf cars."
