Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Al Salam Palace Museum for its informative and engaging tours, highlighting the beautiful interiors and the comprehensive journey through Kuwait's rich history. The use of modern technology to present historical facts is a significant draw, though the strict no-photography policy is a common point of note.

"A really excellent and informative tour that needs to be pre booked. The inside is beautiful. Amazing chandelier, actually everything is beautiful inside. It has hosted 160 foreign dignitaries including Q Elizabeth Charles and even P Diana. It was destroyed by the Iraqis then rebuilt. The guide was smart articulate (and very pretty 😊)."

"It is a must-visit experience! Not only does it showcase the palace’s history, but it also provides a glimpse into Kuwait’s rich heritage, featuring some artifacts from the Stone Age (8000 BC) to future projects. Make sure to book in advance."

Abdullah AlMunaikh

"Such an amazing experience and a must do while in Kuwait! I took the Regular English tour and was the only one that day so felt like a VIP tour. You will be accompanied throughout your visit with 2-3 very well trained guides who will conduct the tour and answer any questions you might have. The tour took 2 hours and included many interactive exhibits and a few short films. You will see replica of the rooms destroyed during the invasion and a museum about the history of Kuwait through its rules. Photography is unfortunately forbidden and only allowed in the foyer. Parking is from Jamal abd Alnasser entrance where you will find underground parking. There is a Starbucks inside the waiting area!
As a suggestion to the palace’s management. Please offer follow up tickets to visit the museum and spend more time exploring the various exhibits without a tour. There is so much to see in 2 hours!"
