What to visit in Bishkek?
Hi! I'm going to Bishkek tomorrow, for 3-4 days on a project, in my free time I want to take a walk and see Bishkek in full. What would you recommend to visit in Bishkek? (Perhaps I will be walking alone, or perhaps in company, so I would like you, if possible, to also indicate…
Worth doing Bishkek given my itinerary?
I definitely came to Kyrgyzstan for the nature but am also interested in the people and culture. I am doing a 12 day horse trek next week that ends on the 29th of August in Barskoon (south of Issyk Kul). After that I am on my own. My flight out is from Bishkek, should I just…

"If you want to dive in Kyrgyzstan's history this place is a good start. Some showcases are not allowed to take a picture. Look signs posted next to it, like Gold accessories etc. In general beautiful Soviet type of museum."

"Beautiful museum. Entry fee is 200 for adults, payable by cash or card. Elevators available to go to upper floors if need be. Many historical artifacts from different eras. There's even a yurt on display! Great place to spend an hour or more.
Only downsides are that some employees were watching videos or their phone with loud volume, and some parts of the exposition are only in Kyrgyz and Russian (I used Google translate with camera for those). Other than that, I highly recommend."

"Good exhibition, terrible staff. There’s no sign saying no photos (only no flash) but the staff didn’t allow me to take photos even with my phone.
I hope the museum can clarify the relevant rules, If it is clear that taking photos is not allowed, please provide relevant notices.
The staff told me that I couldn't take pictures with my camera, so I turned off the camera and took pictures with my phone. After I took pictures with my phone for a while, they told me that I couldn't take pictures of just one cultural relic, but had to take pictures of the whole scene. After I took pictures of the whole scene(like p3), they told me that I couldn't take any picture with my phone at all…But I just did what the staff asked me to do? ?Some staff members also said that they were suspicious of us because we spent too much time looking at the third floor. But why can’t I just interested in the ancient period so spend 2 or more hours on this part? I wonder can't museum lovers just enjoy the museum? I don't understand why the staff themselves think their museum is not worth spending a long time in. This might explain why the level of historical research in Kyrgyzstan is not high.(From the comments, you can see that many people took photos.) Further more, there‘s some small mistakes in the explanation board.
And the staff has been playing the video out loud without headphone.
btw, the museum is open until 8pm, not 6."
