Tips for visiting the Maeklong Railway Market in Thailand: 1️⃣ Don’t drive to the railway market. Take the train to it, so you can experience both being on the train and in the market when the train passes through. Waving at people from the train, as we passed though the market, was actually my favorite part. 2️⃣ Going with a guide will make the logistics of this trip much easier from Bangkok. Th...

"Morning market for fresh produce, vegetables, fruits, spices and meat. We were there around 10:30am and most of the stalls were closed or closing. along the street there are also shops selling hardware and household items. There is another section selling slippers, bags and clothes and it looks like it stays open the whole day."

"A must-see!
Yes, the fish and meat aren't preserved like in the West, but it's still an authentic local market, full of flavors and aromas! A far cry from touristy markets like Luang Prabang, with their exorbitant prices."
