Some note that the pier can be exposed to wind and waves, making it challenging in rough weather, and parking can be limited.
"Nice walk to see the Baltic sea and the beach, we met quite a lot of people and the free parking was almost full. Many fisherman."

"Absolutely stunning! We were there at sun set and the view was really beautiful and it was really worth visiting. We were afraid, if there will be people, because we were going there around 18:00 and it is situated on the edge of the city near forest, but no worries. When we leave bus ( that is going from city centre like every hour or so) there were lots of people, tourists. So it was really safe and worth visiting. Riga is truly unique."

"Amazing 2km concrete pier, Mangalsala mols, into the Baltic, small lighthouse at the end. Accessible in good weather, in the wind waves covering the pier, because the pier is quite low."
