Reviews Summary

Martyrs' Square is a historically significant and centrally located landmark in Beirut, praised for its poignant monument and the symbolic coexistence of religious sites. Visitors appreciate its role as a hub for understanding Lebanese history and culture, though some note that the area could benefit from better maintenance and easier access due to traffic.

"Right in the center and heart of the city, is this square dedicated to senseless lives lost in many bitter conflicts over the years leaving the country devastated. The Square has been created with the hopes of a rising from ashes vibes for this beautiful country and wishing it's on this developmental path. Getting here is a task in itself as you'll have to waddle through the crazy traffic to cross the road. Once you get there, you get a beautiful panoramic view of Mosques, Churches and Roman ruins among others. Also, just walkable is the posh Marina where it comes to life at night"

Shaik Masood

"Nice place, great location and good remembrance statue. Amazing where the mosque and the church are in the same spot."

"Martyrs’ Square in Beirut is a pretty interesting place to visit. It’s right in the middle of the city, so you can’t miss it. The square has a lot of history, especially with the big statue that honors Lebanese nationalists. It’s a spot where people often gather for events and protests, so there’s usually something going on.
The area has a mix of old and new vibes, with modern buildings around but also a strong sense of history. Some people think it could be better maintained, but it’s still a cool place to hang out and get a feel for Beirut’s culture. Plus, it’s a great starting point if you want to explore more of downtown."
