Visitors praise the Klaipeda Castle Museum for its immersive historical experience, excellent audio guide, and engaging exhibits, particularly those detailing the castle's past and WWII history. The ongoing reconstruction is seen as a positive sign of heritage preservation. However, some note that the museum's limited opening days can be inconvenient.
"Fantastic that they have begun the reconstruction (& they aim to rebuild the whole castle eventually when money allows). Sadly it was closed when we got there as it doesn’t open on a Monday. If they want to make more of this, they need to have it open throughout the week."

"Just to imagine this place in a year from August 2025, how beautiful will it be."

"really enjoyable visit. The museum is pretty ambiental and gloomy, designed as the interior of a ship and you even hear the mystical waves of Baltic Sea splashing the entire time so you get immersed deeper and deeper in the history, politics, religion and life of this castle, city, and its inhabitants as you explore the exhibits. You kind of feel like you travel through time. I wanted to read and see everything.
As I understand the whole castle is getting rebuild from scratch which I am glad to see and to realize that Lithuanians are willing to make an effort to keep their history alive."
