"getting there by small ferry costs 3 euros each way. the cafe's food offer is poor. it's better to eat in Klaipeda. the museum is very good, you can visit it also after the dolphin show getting a stamp at the museum entrance"

"Dolphin show was amazing and we all loved it. I advise to book the tickets in advance as they might be gone if visiting in summer. The actual sea museum annoyed us. We had a baby in a pram, and the lifts are positioned in the way that meant we always had to go against the flow of the crowd and then turn around and come back to the same elevator to go to another level. Only to face the same issue again. We ended up seeing the exposition twice, and itwouldn't have been the worst thing on a slow day, but it was crazy busy. It was not easy to understand how the flow worked either due to lack of signage. The last stop of the tour was a shop but there was no lift to get there and we had to take the stairs, to only later realise that there was an enty point from the outside also. Once outside, we were looking around, and the toddler got told off for stepping on a grass in the middle of the courtyard, yet we could not see a sign prohibiting stepping on.
I mean, all in all, great half a day. Kids loved to see the dolphins and mini exposition of ships and old houses on the way there ( leave yourself a good 30-40 minutes to do it). However, the disregard to pram and disabled access location was obvious. The main courtyard as well as other exposition were paved in cobbles making access difficult.
I would come and see the dolphin show again, not too sure about the museum because of the access issues 😕"

Take a ferry (old ferry) to Smiltiney and it's around 1.2 km; can be reached by walk in 15-20 minutes. But tickets, students discount also available. And enjoy the show!!!"
