Visitors praise the National Gallery of Art for its diverse collection, particularly the moving Soviet occupation art and the unique Lithuanian artist exhibits. The building's architecture is also noted as impressive. While some find the chronological arrangement helpful, others suggest allocating ample time to fully appreciate the 11 rooms. It's a highly recommended, free cultural experience.

"I really enjoyed this quite but complex gallery on a Thursday. There are plenty of different artworks in various styles, like cubism, fauvism, expressionism and more. It features a wide range of paintings, assemblages, sketches and installations with oil, tempora, sanguine, pastels, coal, ink, what have you.
One hall is about a Lithuanian artist and displays many of his prints, like lino cuts.
If I counted right, then there are 11 halls with works throughout many decades and centuries. The art and some rooms, as well as their titles and stories really made me think and reflect. I highly suggest going, especially because it is so captivating and not crowded at all."

"The building itself looks stunning. The exhibition is arranged in chronological order up to 21st-century contemporary art. The bathroom is on the ground floor. 2 hours is recommended to see everything."
