I recommend going in the late afternoon, around sunset, when the light makes the old buildings and the valley look even more impressive. It’s a great time for photos and to enjoy the cafés in the area."

"Luxembourg was lovely. Very clean with super buildings! The old quarter was steeped in history with its castle ruins and underground caves. The cathedral was beautiful with its two towers and statue of Notre Dame. We took the tour train down into the gorge and saw places we otherwise might not have ventured to. Definitely worth a visit. Plus all public transport is free!"
