"Apr 2024: lovely area with old trees for a shady rest. Has a souvenir shop and a tea house."

"Albergue SCM is a historic location found in the St. Lazarus District of Macau, where you can find a exhibition gallery and area within a lovely inner courtyard, alongside a nice little shop called Mercearia Portuguesa and a nice restaurant called 1601 Albergue.
Technically, Albergue SCM represents the entire yellow coloured complex and courtyard and it is one of the most beautiful individual spots in Macau, with the presence of a lovely large Camphor tree covered in green vines and foliage. It is a beautiful setting and one of several gorgeous areas to visit in St. Lazarus district.
The little shop here is a nice stop, selling imported products from Portugal. We also like 1601 Albergue for the African Chicken and lovely alfresco dining environs. If you visit on weekends, you will often find small performances, concerts, fairs and other arranged activities taking place within the Albergue SCM grounds or just outside on the tiled street beyond the compound.
We stop at Albergue SCM regularly when visiting the St. Lazarus district of Macau and find it well worth at stop for lunch or even just 15-20 minutes to have a look around and take a few pictures before moving on to other attractions in this area of the city."
