What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Kid City City of Dreams offers a mixed bag of experiences. While it provides classic indoor playground fun and a toddler area, many visitors feel the additional costs for activities beyond the entrance fee are excessive and not clearly communicated. Some facilities have also been noted as being less than clean.
"The playground is not very big and quite some items need extra money
But overall clean and spacious, good for parents chilling out while the kids play.
There is a hairdo salon and the staff Sonia is the star, she's kind and friendly and made a wonderful hair style for my daughter for just 90MOP."

"Scam. Paid for entrance fee, but the majority of the playhouse is full of activities that require extra payment. Half of the 'free' entrance fee included activities are open and they will not notify you until you paid. Outdoor driving area is closed without notice. Facilities are quite dirty too. Kids are not allowed unless wearing long sleeves top or trousers, they make money by selling clothes at the entrance. Not recommended. Plenty of free playground in Macau that are much better."

"Not a bad experience with the usual indoor playground climbing, slides and ball pit. This kids city also has a toddler play area and an outdoor bumper car area (only 2 bumper cars though).
There are also paid and some free arcade machines here for kids/parents to play."

Navigating the Costs: Beyond the Entrance Fee
To make the most of your visit and manage expectations, it's crucial to understand that the entrance fee is just the starting point. Consider budgeting for additional expenses if your children are keen on arcade games or specific activities. Some reviews suggest that the 'free' games are mixed with paid ones, creating a confusing setup. It's advisable to inquire about package deals or day passes if available, or to prioritize which paid activities are most important to your children before arriving.
Despite the cost concerns, some visitors still find value, particularly if their children are older and can enjoy the faster slides or if they focus on the included activities. The staff member Sonia, who styles hair, has been highlighted for her excellent service and reasonable pricing, offering a positive individual experience within the venue.
Kid City's Play Offerings: What to Expect
Beyond the traditional playground, the venue includes an outdoor bumper car area, though the number of cars is limited. Arcade enthusiasts will find a selection of arcade machines, some of which are free to play, while others require tokens. This mix can be a point of contention, as some reviews mention the free and paid games being intermingled, causing confusion.
It's important to note that some facilities, such as the outdoor driving area, may be closed without notice, which can be disappointing for families who planned around them. Additionally, a dress code requiring long sleeves and trousers is enforced, with clothing available for purchase onsite, adding another potential cost.
