Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Lin Fung Temple for its historical significance, serene atmosphere, and beautiful ornate details. It's a peaceful escape offering a glimpse into Macau's rich cultural and spiritual heritage. Some find it a bit small, but its tranquility is a major draw.

"The Lin Fung Mui (Lin Fung Temple) was built in 1592 and can be found at the north end of Mong Ha Hill on Avenida do Almirante Lacerda. It is more commonly referred to as the Temple of Lotus and is one of the three most famous temples in Macau, behind the A-Ma Temple (Barra Square) and Kun Iam Temple (Avenida do Coronel Mesquita).

The Lin Fung Mui has been restored numerous times over the centuries, most significantly during the Qing Dynasty for which it takes is current size and architecture. In front of the temple there are impressive incense altars as well as a statue to the famed visitor Commissioner Lin Zexu, who stayed here on official business in Macau in 1839.

The front facade of the temple is attractive, featuring decorative facade reliefs as well as traditional stone lions guarding the entrances into the cluster of halls. Within the interlinking halls, you will find alter shrines to the likes of Kun Iam and Kwan Tai, decorative walls with reliefs, burning incense coils, intricate wood carvings.

In the end, we enjoy visiting Lin Fung Mui from time to time. Unfortunately, it is located a fair distance away from the Historic City Centre of Macau so you have to make an effort to find and visit this temple. Buses 1A, 8, 8A, 10, 28B, 28BX, N1B pass this direction for those interested.

Hint: If you are specifically targeting temple visits while in Macau, this is definitely one to see. We would recommend it just after the UNESCO World Heritage - A Ma Temple. You can visit along with Kun Iam Temple, which is only 10 minutes walk from here."

"A typical Chinese temple in Macao.....it has over four hundred years history. It's free of charge....not many people indisdithe temple. There's a small museum inside the temple yard but you have to pay for the entrance fee for thus museum."

"one of the cool temple that i have ever visit.

in most of the religion one God or similar God would be staying in one shrine or temple, however this one is different,

it's got multiple God and a place specially for ancestors to be worship or pray.

despite the place wasn't that heavily decorated like other temples, this one is still very worth to pay a visit."
