What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Balok Beach is praised for its serene, uncrowded atmosphere and calm waters, making it ideal for relaxation and swimming. However, some visitors note occasional cleanliness issues and a lack of dining options directly on the beach. The grey sand and potential for ATV noise are also points of consideration.
"A nice beach with gentle waves and warm water. A big plus was that it wasn’t crowded at all when I was there, making it a really nice place to relax and unwind"

"Long beach, not crowded at all. Grey coloured sand that many years ago was white. Good for a long walk or jog and it can get very hot in the afternoon sun so visit early morning or in the evening.
The waves were fairly calm so you can also go swimming here. Not a ton of places, if any, to stop and eat or grab a drink along the beachfront which is quite surprising. A nice beach cafe or small restaurant would be very nice to relax and watch the ocean.
There was a guy driving up and down selling ice creams. Lots of people doing ATV rides which can be a bit noisy/spread fumes.
The beach is ok. Unfortunately some spots are a bit dirty. It looks like sewage comes down from the towns via the rivers so those areas can be quite smelly.. Only a small amount of litter in the sand."
