What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mesa on 51 is lauded for its magnificent KLCC skyline views and vibrant atmosphere, making it a popular spot for celebrations. While the Spanish-Nikkei fusion cuisine is generally well-received, some diners experience long waits between courses and find the air-conditioning to be quite cold. The strict policy on outside food has also been a point of contention for some visitors.
"A lovely place with magnificent view of KL skyline and the Twin Towers. The seats by the glass windows are the best in the house. The place is dimly lit so you will need to be careful especially when you go to the toilets. Staff are well trained and polite and courteous. We ordered food to share starting with appetizers. The appetizers, mushroom croquettes, crudo, tacos, sashimi boat were all delicious. After appetizers, we had to wait a bit too long for main course to be served. We celebrated a birthday here and they were very accommodating to arrange even singing and wow, the voice! I don’t know the name of the staff but he was wonderful. The ambiance is lovely though it might be a bit too dark. Overall an excellent evening apart from a small matter when we were “screened” before getting into the lift. I carried a paper bag of cookies as a gift for a friend that I’m dining with. The lady said no food is allowed up. This is a bit ridiculous and annoying, food as in cookies and biscuits as gift cannot be considered food that might be brought in for consumption. They need to look into this policy as it will definitely ruffle some feathers."

"Owned by the Marini's Group, Mesa on 51 sits on the 51st floor with an amazing view of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. It is located at Permata Sakura Tower which is located right next to the KLCC Convention Centre.
Mesa on 51 serves up Spanish cuisine and is divided into 3 area which consists a lounge with a Du station, dining area and also a terrace bar with open area sitting too (if the weather is good).
We ordered a pizza and some house wines to wind down before heading home on a Friday to avoid the heavy traffic once you're in city centre. It's a great spot to chill, have dinner, and enjoy some drinks but the negative part for us was the air-conditioning was super cold, which made dining was a bit uncomfortable.
Parking in KL isn't cheap either and mine came up to RM17 for about 3 hours."

"What a night! From beginning to end we could not fault anything. The atmosphere was lovely. We had a table by the window facing the Petronas Twin Towers what a magical view. As the sun went down the towers lit up as well as the surrounding city. Wow! Something we had not witnessed before. The staff were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Drinks were cold and served promptly. The food….exceptional to say the least. We did not go hungry nor were thirsty all night. It was my birthday and Mendoza the manager sang happy birthday to me and he was accompanied by other restaurant staff. It made me feel so very special and beautiful. Thank you Mendoza to you and your team of professional staff. Well done to you all. We will certainly be back and will pass on to family and friends travelling your way to visit your restaurant."
