Reviews Summary

Damascus Restaurant is celebrated for its authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, particularly its highly-rated shawarma and delectable kunafa. Diners rave about the stunning, multi-level decor and the exceptional value for money, with generous portions at reasonable prices. While the food and ambiance receive widespread acclaim, some visitors note that the bread served with dips could be fresher, and portion sizes on certain dishes might not always justify the price.

"I was prepared to pay 500rm for 4 people given the grand and spacious interior, excellent service and being located in the most touristy spot of KL. It would have still been worth the money in my opinion for the food was fantastic.

From the salad which was acidic and refreshing which served its role as an appetite opener.
To the lentil soup which was creamy and fragrant. Nothing too fancy but a simple dish well done.

The mixed appetiser introduced us to the hummus and spicy hummus so creamy and fragrant, pairing perfectly with the bread. The baba ganoush’s acidic taste cuts right through any flavour fatigue from the rich hummus.

The star of the mixed grill was definitely the lamb which was tender and aromatic. Not gamey at all.

The shawarma platter was a satisfying main, with crispy fries that are fluffy on the inside, fresh vegetables still sweet to pair with the garlic sour cream dip. Juicy tender meat wrapped in a toasted tortilla with ample sauce to make sure every bite goes down smoothly, not dry at all.

Lastly the cheese kunafa, the ice cream brings a nice balance of sweetness and creaminess when spread out to pair with the cheesy and buttery core of the dessert. You may ask for syrup that is rose flavoured and not too sweet. Which adds an extra layer of aroma and sweetness depth to the dish.

The location, environment, service and food is truly unbeatable for its price. Will visit again."

"The staff and service were top 5/5.
However, food quality bit down.

Requested a set of bread so that goes with my hummus dip. The bread comes with cheap transparent plastic bag seal with 2 pieces. Pita bread suppose in fresh and warm when comes out not prepacked cold plastic bag.

Ordered the set chicken kebab and was told the chicken kebab roll dine in only one size (large) When came was shocked. what is small then 😳😳😳. The price bit not justify that quantity.

The staff was so friendly and professional. Restaurant design and deco is stunning and high in detail. Dined in 24/11/2025"

"Usually, "hyped" places don't meet expectations, but this restaurant is legitimately EXCELLENT ! The food was every bit as delicious as promised. What really impressed us was the seamless experience: despite it being busy, the multi-story layout handled the crowd perfectly, making our queue move quickly. Service was fast and attentive, the overall vibe was wonderful, and my whole family left happy and satisfied. Worth the visit!"
