Is Jalan Alor market worth visiting?
Yep, don’t get me wrong there is better food but it’s an experience. The best place to eat there is down the bottom end of the street called Wong ah Wah

"This street is the epitome of food paradise. Dazzling billboard-sized signs will entice you to have a feast on sea food and other menu items.
All restaurants are packed full, meaning they're all damn good!! High competition amongst them leaves no places for mediocre chefs.
The only little cons is that most restaurants sell the exact same items; you'll see what I'm saying when you compare the billboard-menu signs."

"To be honest, I’m not usually a fan of street food – but this market was something else. So much to see, so many incredible smells. It was great to watch everyone enjoying their food. No vendors trying to pressure you – they let their food and beautifully presented stalls speak for themselves. It was very busy, but still felt relaxed; no pushing, no chaos. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience!"

"I loved this place! There is literally something for everything. Whether you're shopping for clothes or picking up souvenirs, craving a bite to eat or a fresh made drink... this is where you want to be. I went over a holiday and WOW. The crowds were large. The streets were hard to navigate and it was extremely HOT, but so worth the experience. I tried a few of my favorite snacks and then ventured to try others. Not a fan of the desserts here, but the chicken jerky was so good! Because this is a heavy tourist location, you'll hear and see a lot of people speaking in English. My tip for you is to bargain if you're shopping! It's almost as if they want you to! I asked for a price for something and was given a price, I said ok, and then when I went to pay, he lowered the price without me asking."
