Reviews Summary

Rumah Tangsi is appreciated for its historical significance and colonial architecture, offering a peaceful escape into KL's past. Visitors enjoy the chance to explore a well-preserved heritage building and learn about its prominent former owner. Some find the dual use as a school slightly restrictive, but overall, it's seen as a valuable historical site.

"As a Japanese film producer covering the ASEAN meeting in KL, I took a welcome break at Rumah Tangsi and was immediately captivated. The building's architecture is truly exceptional—a magnificent example of colonial-era heritage beautifully preserved and adapted for modern use.

The striking Neo-Classical/Eclectic style provides a sophisticated and richly textured setting, making the simple act of having a coffee feel like a scene from a period film. The ambiance successfully blends historical grandeur with a contemporary, creative atmosphere.

Highly recommend for anyone seeking a coffee spot with strong aesthetic and historical value. A real Kuala Lumpur gem!"

"Great historical mansion. Well restored and well preserved. Free orchestras, cultural performances available for public. Seats are pretty limited, around 200-250 pax max. Overall a great venue for both locals and foreign visitors. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️"

"57 FIFTIG SEOFON - We went there during lunch time on Saturday. Didn't know that prior reservation was needed for sitting arrangement. But the manager was very kind and got us a table for 6 people..a big thank you for that!
Located in a historical building, the place was nicely decorated and got ample parking lots. The staff are friendly. We sat at upper floor.
We had a set lauk kampung for 2 (quantity wise can eat for 3) and old English breakfast and also a mushroom dish and also 2 slices of cake.
A lot of variety of dishes to choose from.
We were happy because the food was good and tasty. Drinks also good.
(But for me personally, I would like it if the sambal was a bit salty (tambah serbuk perisa sikit)).
I love this place and highly recommend it."
