What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Stadium Merdeka is revered for its immense historical significance as the birthplace of Malaysian independence. Visitors appreciate its restored architecture and its symbolic importance. However, access can be unpredictable, and it's primarily a historical site rather than a modern tourist attraction with amenities.
"Sunday Morning Walk Two Icons, One Story
Woke up early today and decided to visit iconic Stadium Merdeka and PNB118. Inspired by my friend s earlier visit.
I stood standing between two giants of different era:
🏟️ Stadium Merdeka, humble and historic, where our nation found its voice in 1957.
🏙️ PNB 118, bold and futuristic, still climbing skyward with every steel beam.
It’s surreal to see them side by side — one whispering stories of unity and independence, the other shouting ambition and progress. Different eras, same heartbeat.
Caught a runner passing through the frame, and it hit me: we’re all moving forward, but the ground we run on is built from where we’ve been.
KL never stops evolving — and mornings like this remind me why I love photographing it."

"Full house concert of Michael wong.
Parking at menara 118 is quite near.
Stadium is almost 70 years, built for that era.
Concrete seats, not so comfortable height for seats, makes the few hours attending the concert a challenging task.😅😅
Show has international flair but the venue is just a bit outdated. Not so comfortable for concert goers."

"Son wanted to come run at the track at Stadium Merdeka. Free entry for all, just have to sign in at the main entrance by scanning qr code.
Beautiful views of Merdeka 118 from the track. Place was quite busy. 75% of track gets morning sun. Toilets are very clean. Overall, good experience running / walking here.
Pasar Seni and Merdeka MRT is within walking distance. Maharajalela Monorel is even closer.
You can park at Merdeka 118 also if driving, the parking rate is RM3 per hour for now. They only accept credit card or debit card payment. Waze to Entrqnce F of Stadium Merdeka - park then walk up the stairs and it brings u directly to the main entrance."
