"A nice park when it's not crowded. I advise avoiding the place on weekends. This area used to be tin mine and that's why the lake exists - it's and abandoned mining pool. The forefathers of Malaysian Chinese first came to Malaya to mine tin in places like this that were away from the historic center of town. Today there are very beautiful trees and flower beds. There are also fish in the lake.
A bad experience during my visit was that all visitors to the park were asked to leave due to some set-up of installation art and event booths. They shouldn't turn the park into a place for never-ending events. It should be a place free of annoying business activities and just be a park.
There is a beautiful residential neighborhood surrounding the park with some old houses and mansions - some are we'll kept and other need a bit of work but it adds to the charm of the area.
I'm gonna give it 2 stars due to the poor experience today and I also was put off by the geopolitical messages about the middleast in their installation art."

"Very lovely park , i went during Asean food fest, which was such a great experience and a great way to learn more about different cultures. It was an extremely hot day so I didn't stay as long as I want, but loved the experience. I will definitely visit park again. Highly recommended visiting."
