"This traditional nyonya restaurant is truly a hidden gem! From the moment you step inside, you're immersed in a rich cultural atmosphere. Each dish is packed with authentic flavors, as if you're tasting the essence of history. The signature dishes, in particular, have a complex texture and aroma that are absolutely mouthwatering, deepening my appreciation for Nyonya culture. Overall, this was an unforgettable dining experience, and I highly recommend it!"

"Had high hopes for this new branch of Old Forest, the old one being at Jalan Beserah.
The ambience was fantastic, with the retro interior matching the vibe of its colonial shophouse exterior. Seating was spacious and plenty, even the tables were intricate with carvings on them. The menu was printed on old school exercise books.
The same feeling of anticipation however fell short when the food came. The chicken curry smelled sour, chicken texture somehow tasted like something cooked some days before and reheated. My partner did not finish his nasi lemak. My fried rice was tasty, but having been regulars at Jalan Beserah outlet, I was expecting it to come with a chicken wing but it came with a sausage covered in chili sauce and mayo instead. The rice was nice, but my expectations fell short knowing how much more delicious it is (it had “wok hei”) where we used to frequent.
I am really hoping that these are just teething issues that would be solved with time because this new outlet has so much potential with the space and vibe. Please make it better!"
