Reviews Summary

Tanjung Datu National Park is lauded as a pristine, hidden gem offering tranquility and abundant wildlife. Visitors appreciate the untouched beaches and lush rainforest, though some note the basic facilities and vague trail information. It's a destination for those seeking an authentic, remote nature experience.

"À hide gem in Sarawak. Few tourists venture that far and the facilities are basic. There's washrooms and simple beach huts to spend a few nights but you have to bring in your own provisions. But it's worth the journey! The calm, the beauty of the South China Sea and, most of all, the wonderful tropical forest with its abundance of wildlife (for the patient traveller)."

Herman Scholz

"We went for a day by taking a boat from our homestay in Telok Melano. You need to take all your provisions for lunch etc with you, and register with the park ranger when you arrive.
We managed two hikes, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.
The information about the hikes is a little vague (hence not five stars) with no real indication of difficulty.
The Pasir Antu Laut hike is relatively easy and you are rewarded with a beautiful rocky beach at the end.
The Belian tail is tougher with very steep ascent and descent - but we did see monkeys in the distance (probably silver-leaf)"

Ann Attwood

"The stuff is nice, they have a turtle 🐢 program and they release it here."
