"Kota Ngah Ibrahim Museum, Taiping, A Walk Through History
We visited the historic Kota Ngah Ibrahim Museum in Taiping once the mansion of Ngah Ibrahim, the richest Malay tin miner of his time, and later a British administrative hub, a courtroom, and even a wartime base during the Japanese occupation. This one building has seen everything from power, wealth, colonial politics to exile and war.
The museum itself is well-preserved and packed with fascinating artifacts and stories from the tin mining era, British rule, and the trial of J.W.W. Birch’s murderers which even involved Ngah Ibrahim himself."
