Reviews Summary

Visitors are drawn to the Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum for its impressive exterior architecture and the historical insights it offers into the Malacca Sultanate. The reconstructed palace and its gardens are frequently praised for their beauty and photogenic qualities. However, some guests have noted issues with limited English translations on exhibits and occasional unexpected closures.

"I was really looking forward to visiting the Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum because it looks amazing from the outside and is full of history about the Malacca Sultanate. The wooden architecture and traditional design are very beautiful, and the garden area around it is nice for photos.

Unfortunately, the museum was closed when I visited, so I couldn’t explore inside. I would recommend checking the opening hours before coming. Still, the place is worth seeing from outside if you are around St. Paul’s Hill area!"

"A rich example of how the traditional Sultan’s from 1400 CE took over Melaka and the museum experience is absolutely a worth visit to understand the story in detail. The exquisite wood carving, and intricate details although a replica of the original (as it got damaged in fire) but truly depicts the rich culture and heritage of the history of Melaka. Explore the massage chair located inside, in case you are tired 😊👍."

"Pretty ok place to learn a bit of history. But some exhibits lack English translation which turned my kids off. Or the explanation were too brief and lack details befitting of a museum.

Too many mannequins which creeped us out especially since there's not much people around.

Paid RM90 for 4A and 1C ."
