"Link to Brunei
The ASEAN bridge is crossing the Baram river and offers vital connectivity to Brunei and further on to Limbang and Lawas in Sarawak or even Sabah.
The view from the top is nice as the bridge arches over the Baram river and offers a good view of the surrounding area. There is a walkway which can be used to walk on the bridge and enjoy the view from the top.
Since 2015 the bridge is toll free to Malaysian cars (if only we knew this when we crossed the bridge backπ
). Foreign registered cars have to pay RM10.
On the way to Brunei we stopped at the toll both and were told there is no need to pay the toll. So, we assumed its like on the Penang bridge where you only pay one way. On the way back we were in a column of cars (Bruneian cars) and everyone was holding a RM10 bill in their hand, so we assumed we have to pay. When we arrived the toll booth the guy looked a bit surprised at us, but still grabbed the RM10 bill we were holding out.
Remeber, for Malaysian cars the crossing is free of charge!"
