Reviews Summary

Visitors find Lukut Fort and Museum to be an interesting and educational site, particularly for its free admission and insights into the region's tin mining history. While the fort ruins are minimal, the museum's artifacts and displays are appreciated. However, the lack of air conditioning on the ground floor and the underdeveloped state of the fort ruins are common drawbacks.

"Great place to learn local history about mining and their king institutions. Lots of artefacts to see and the fort ruins is really amazing to experience it closely. However, less seating area within the exhibit is available, sometimes we sat down at the floor while reading the exhibit πŸ˜… also, the prayer room for ladies is kinda exposed to the public, with broken windows. Overall, it is really interesting place to be, and I hope the museum can find a new way to attract people coming in."

"The Museum is FREE.

This museum is telling a story of how Lukut town was born. Interestingly, Lukut was part of Selangor when it was opened.

The ground floor gallery mainly for that. But there was no air conditioner. How to expect people to stay longer if there is no AC and stuffy inside.

On 1st floor there is a common gallery showing local traditional clothes, woodworks, steel works, etc. This one they have AC, but I wish the gallery is more interesting.

Outside, they have boats from Terengganu and cannons. There is a playground nearby.

Enough parking for 30 mins to 45 mins visit.

Didn't go up to the signage on the hill because we were tired haha. I bet can see the view of Lukut."

Nazmi Saadon

"A very well maintained muzium but not many artifacts. Lukut used to be a mining town and most of the exhibits are related to mining. The compound is huge and you may easily spend an hour or 2 at this place. Entrance and parking is free."
