Reviews Summary

Pulau Melaka offers a unique experience, with the stunning Melaka Straits Mosque being a major highlight. While some visitors note areas of underdevelopment and unoccupied buildings, others appreciate the island's tranquility, scenic beauty, and potential for great photography. It's a destination that provides a peaceful escape with a standout architectural marvel.

"Very run down. A lot of buildings are unoccupied. But it has a very beautiful mosque situated on the sea."

Robin AGPC

"For most, I assume this island is good for the temple and no more. There seems little else here. Plenty of empty locked up shops and half finished buildings that look abandoned. We found a great place to eat though - Damascas Gate...see review. I can't workout whether the promised developments here are going slowly or abandoned. I'm not saying don't look around as there are some shops here. However, if you wanted to make a zombie apocalypse film, there are some perfect locations here."

M C (The Old School Caretaker)

"Melaka's unique mosque tourist site in Pulau Melaka. Attracts many tourists there either by tour buses, bicycles, or on foot. Good for taking scenic photos and also, there is a plaque carved in granite / marble indicating that this mosque is located on the longest and busiest straits in the world."
