"My wife and I visited this mosque on our last day in Malaysia as we chose this country for our honeymoon! The security guards at the front and the second floor were very welcoming and we even had a small chat about marriage and joked around with one another. It led for an amazing experience inside the rest of the mosque as it is absolutely stunning! We even got the chance to pray Asr here and I loved every moment of it!
The inside is incredibly serene, and the breeze flowing through the space made it such a comfortable visit, especially in the hot weather.
The mosque sits right next to the water, and the view outside is absolutely worth taking time to enjoy. We were able to take pictures freely, and since it wasn’t too crowded when we went, it felt very calm and reflective.
NOTE: We went around 4pm and it was a perfect time—the lighting was beautiful and the temperature was manageable. Just be mindful to dress modestly (they do offer robes if needed), and bring water! There are no tickets or entry fee!"

"The Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque, also known as the Iron Mosque, is one of the most stunning and unique mosques in Malaysia. 🕌 Located right by the Putrajaya Lake, this mosque stands out with its modern steel-and-glass architecture, which gives it a sleek, elegant look — especially beautiful at night when the lights reflect softly over the water. 🌃✨
Unlike traditional mosques, the Iron Mosque doesn’t have a dome — instead, it features an open, airy design that allows natural light and breeze to flow through. The structure feels spacious, bright, and peaceful, creating a calm atmosphere for prayer and reflection. The cool metal surfaces and geometric patterns make it a true architectural masterpiece.
At night, the mosque looks absolutely magical. The white lights illuminate the entire structure, and the reflection on the lake adds to its serene beauty. It’s a perfect place for night photography, quiet walks, or just sitting by the waterfront enjoying the view of Putrajaya’s skyline. 📸
The area is clean, safe, and very well maintained. Visitors are welcomed warmly, and non-Muslims can enter certain areas to admire the design and learn more about Islamic architecture. It’s also conveniently located near other attractions like the Putra Mosque and Millennium Monument.
Overall, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque is more than just a place of worship — it’s a symbol of peace, modern elegance, and spiritual harmony. Whether you visit during the day or at night, the Iron Mosque is a must-see landmark that truly represents the beauty and tranquility of Putrajaya. ❤️"
