Reviews Summary

The opportunity to contribute to conservation and learn about peat swamp ecosystems is highly valued. However, the challenging road conditions and the need for permits can be significant hurdles for independent visitors.
"A great experience. Was here for mangrove tree planting in 2020 just before the covid lockdowns. The place is magical at dawn so try to get there nice and early. The land area of the forest is larger than the whole of Singapore! Can you believe it? The tree planting activity was very rewarding and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to give back to nature and help grow more trees in our natural environment. This also help the animals who live there and it secures our water supply."

"i was there in February and May 2022. It can't be accessible by public as it's peat swamp forest reserve. you need a permit to enter which will not be granted unless you have a valid reason. i joined the Global Environment Centre's tree planting activity every last Saturday of the month (prior registration is required!). it has an observation tower. 30 Trees are to be planted in every given lane. it's really meaningful to join this activity."
