"Wat Phikulthong (วัดพิกูลทอง) is a Thai Buddhist temple located in Kampung Terbak, Tumpat, Kelantan, Malaysia. It is renowned for housing the tallest standing Buddha statue in Kelantan, named Buddhalila, which stands at 60 meters and took 10 years to build. The temple is also the first Thai Buddhist temple in Kelantan to receive a royal Kathina robe from the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. Featuring a magnificent architectural style integrated with traditional Thai elements, it is ornately decorated with colorful divine beast sculptures, rows of bronze bells, and other scenic spots. Serving as an important landmark of cultural and religious integration in the region, it is situated at Kampung Terbak, 16200 Tumpat, Kelantan."

"This Wat is not only a place of worship but a Buddhism school. It is also a meditation center that offers a peaceful retreat for those seeking spiritual calm from the city’s bustle.
The majestic standing Buddha does crate a sense of tranquility perfect for quiet reflection.
Located along the Tumpat coastal road (it was about 30 mins drive from Kota Bharu city center). A great stop to those in Tumpat on a Wat-hopping route and photography enthusiasts – the towering Buddha against Kelantan’s tropical blue sky is amazingly breathtaking.
Enjoy the photos!

"The wat is very clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained — truly a serene place to visit. However, the sandy area around the wat has some issues with stray dogs, which leaves the ground less pleasant for visitors. Perhaps some fencing or measures could help maintain the surroundings as clean and sacred as the wat itself."
