3 things you need to book in advance if you’re going to Malta!! 1. Ħal Saflieni (there is an option to buy more expensive tickets the day before but they go fast ) 2. Gozó ferry from Valleta, made a video on our experience book in advance Gozó is amazing! 3. Fish legal is a free app that will tell you where you’re allowed and not allowed to fish. I had no clue when I first got it here what these were. It’s easy to take someone else’s word in things but they’re not going to be the ones paying your fine. I know how easy it i...

Just wait a second to see what bird it is… Young flamingo at Ghadira nature reserve in Malta. Interesting fact: flamingos turn pink within the first years of their life. The free entry and friendly staff are highlighted as positives, though some wish for closer viewing opportunities of distant birds. It's considered a peaceful haven for nature lovers.

"Five stars for tranquility of walk. Mostly sounds of birds and no sightings of anything other than beetle, bee, lizard. Still beautiful. Near a bus stop and across the street from a beach, food, water and snacks. Enter up the stairs through the visitors center. Bathroom under the stairs of the visitors center around the corner."

Justice Kali Di Quartuccio

"Very little to see despite us trying really hard. Very few birds on/around lake. Only 2 places (buildings) from which to see the lake, rest is just a bushy path. Puzzles and life cycle games in the entry building were nice. Staff is welcoming, informative and friendly. 2 toilets by the entry building."

Jana Sko

"Beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy nature and watch the birds. Entrance is free but you can leave a donation. Staff is super friendly, welcoming visitors in Maltese, English or French. They have binoculars that you can use for free."
