"Beautiful place and amazing views. It was built in the early 18th century as a coastal artillery battery and used as a World War II observation post, currently abandoned and in a state of disrepair, but a recent agreement has been made for preservation and restoration efforts by Heritage Malta.
Perfect place for pictures… with stunning views."

"Very nice area on the water to walk around. The salt pans encircle the fort building and make for nice photography. Take care to not slip otherwise you'll be going home with soaked shoes or worse all your clothes. Walk all the way around the fort and up the beach for more scenery. If you need to, there is a small public bathroom near the entrance of the parking lot, down the stairs to the boat launch area."

"Somewhat run down, and you don't seem to be able to go inside anymore. You get nice views along the coast, but the main reason to visit isn't the battery itself, but the much older salt pans all around the outside it (the Salinas de Qolla I-Bajda - see separate listing on Google Maps)."
