What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Le Village Créole offers a convenient location with a variety of shops and restaurants, plus easy beach access. While some guests find the accommodations basic and note potential maintenance issues, others praise the value for money and the helpfulness of staff. Be aware of potential extra cleaning charges upon checkout.
"A group of ten of us stayed in three apartments at this property. While the accommodations were reasonably priced, we believe we could have found better options for a similar cost elsewhere. Based on our past experiences with various hotels and Airbnbs across Martinique, this stay did not meet expectations in terms of comfort or service.
We encountered roaches in the apartments throughout our stay, which was quite unpleasant.
The rooms had a persistent musty odor, possibly from being closed up for an extended period—it resembled the smell of damp clothes left to dry indoors.
Although it's generally expected that guests bring their own adaptors, a few of us forgot. While the office did provide some, unfortunately, none of them worked.
We were informed that the apartments would be cleaned every three days (if memory serves), but no cleaning took place during our stay. Basic amenities like toilet paper were not replenished in a timely manner, and the bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly.
Upon check-out, we were charged €50 per room for “extensive cleaning” due to a few unwashed glasses and empty shopping bags left near the bin. This charge was not mentioned during booking or check-in and was only brought up after the fact, allegedly based on the terms and conditions—which we were never made aware of.
Overall, while the stay was manageable, there are several areas where improvements are needed to ensure a more pleasant and transparent guest experience."

"We stayed here for three weeks, from December to January. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Our room was close to restaurants, shops, grocery store and beach. It was equipped with fridge, toaster, stove top, kettle, coffee maker and mini fridge. This allowed us to shop at the local grocery store and cook our own food.
Our room was clean upon arrival and received full cleaning once a week, with fresh towels every 3 days.
I highly recommend this place for your time in Martinique if not looking for an all inclusive type of resort. We will definitely book here again in the future."

"Pleasant stay overall. The property is a bit worse for wear and could use some updates, repainting, and repairs ... but it was adequate and clean and we felt safe and secure. The suites were spacious and well-equipped. It was good value for money and the location was convenient. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and we would recommend RVC to our family and friends."
