Reviews Summary

Pointe Simon Waterfront is primarily recognized as a vital ferry terminal connecting Fort-de-France to other key locations. Visitors appreciate its role in facilitating travel and the convenience of nearby amenities. However, the experience can be crowded, and careful planning regarding ferry schedules and arrival times is essential.

"We spent a long weekend on Martinique (Fri - Tue) during our recent trip to St Lucia. We used the FRS ferry to travel between the 2 islands.

We were staying at La Pagerie hotel so we walked from the ferry terminal over to the Ponton de La Pointe Simon pier to catch the Blue Lines boat shuttle over to Pointe du Bout. I'd recommend downloading the MT Ticket app and buying your ticket in advance; you activate the ticket once you board the boat by scanning a QR code. There are also ticket machines on the pier. I'd recommend checking the timetable on the Blue Lines website, as the timetables do change regularly. You can take suitcases on the boat.

Do be aware that the boats do get really busy so try to be there in good time so that you are guaranteed to get on. There's no queue system so you have to fight your way onto the boat.

If you miss the boat and need to wait for the next one, there's are cafes/McDonalds close by, although I would have also felt safe just sitting on the pier.

Overall, the Blue Lines shuttle boats are a good way to get between Fort-de-France and Trois Ilets, and not too expensive either."
