"It’s a really nice public beach. Lively. The sunset view is great. There were a lot of people when we visited. Great for family outings and kids day trips. There are nearby food stalls and we saw couple of people carrying surf boards. Not sure about the surfing though. Good place to visit in Mauritius."

"This is one of the cleanest beaches you can find in the Indian ocean. It is about one hour drive south from the capital port Louis . Full beach line is occupied with beach hotels such as Hilton, Sofitel like high end hotels to budget hotels as well. However in general hotel prices are a bit higher end compared to countries like Sri Lanka . Shallow clean water with long sand line where you can walk through even 5/6 km without any trouble . The beach is safe even for solo travelers. If you wish you can go snorkeling and experience jet skies. Not very crowded during the period I visited which was the off season ( in February). Normally it is not recommended to travel in January due to thunder storms. You can have a long walk to see the Le morne Mountain range with a nice view"
