What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mercado 28 offers a vibrant shopping experience with a vast array of souvenirs and authentic Mexican crafts. While many visitors appreciate the variety and affordability, some caution that prices can be high in certain areas and advise careful comparison and negotiation. The market also boasts decent and affordable restaurants serving local cuisine.
"I got confused and thought it was the Mercado 28 but it isn't.
The prices for some products are higher however many products are unique here. I meant there were some nice keychains that I didn't find anywhere else neither in the other mercados and tianguis.
I would say the price may be lightly justify because many products (designs) were not sold elsewhere.
However some of the classic bags or other artisanal products that you can find in other store the prices are indeed higher. Not much high higher.
I think it's nice to walk around. They may be able to give you a flyer where there are some discounts including a free keychain.
You may wish to taste a free tequilla shot there."

"Very expensive place for first time buyers.. strongly recommend to look around before you purchase anything from there.. nothing special which I could not find in near by shops. The lady behaved very nicely but be cautious not to fall in trap… very bad experience."
